• Secondary Network Meeting (online): Wednesday 23rd September 2026, 3.30pm-4.30pm

Join us for our first meeting of the academic year, where we will talk about plans for the year ahead, new book recommendations and more. Email us to book your place.

• Primary Network Meeting (online): Wednesday 7th October 2026, 3.30pm-4.30pm. 

The theme will be, 'Reading for Pleasure and Curiosity for Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities'. 

We will highlight a range of books and resources that we have purchased as part of our SEND Resource Collections at Warwickshire Schools Library Service, all aimed at fostering a love of stories, reading for pleasure and curiosity. We will share the results of our recent project, which provided specialist schools and schools with specialist resource provisions free taster boxes of resources to try for a term. 

We will also be joined by author and co-founder of Just Like Me books, Pamela Aculey who will share her picture book, 'Buster finds his beat', which uses Augmented Reality to bring the story to life, the first of it's kind.

There will be opportunities to ask questions and share good practice and challenges with other attendees.

Teaching Inquiry Skills through the School Library: Online training session

Tuesday 22nd October 2024

3.30pm-4.30pm

We will be joined by Elizabeth Hutchinson who is an independent school library specialist with a wealth of knowledge and experience around inquiry-based learning. This session will be online and is tailored for primary and secondary school librarians/teachers seeking to enhance their instructional toolkit. Particularly focusing on how to effectively teach inquiry skills, equipping them with the knowledge and strategies to guide students through the research process.
