Libresoft Librarian - A management system for school libraries:
This recently developed system is taking off all over the country. It offers schools an attractive and easy-to-use means of managing all the circulation functions of a school library:

• Adding and editing books
• borrowing and returning
• overdue reminders
• reservations
• student reviews and interaction
• stock checking
• statistics and reports

Cost:
Libresoft Librarian is attractively priced. Primary schools pay a £295 annual fee and secondary schools just £595.
The first payment includes the set-up which Libresoft complete remotely.  It also covers use of the system and support, usually via e-mail or phone.

Setting up with data:
Schools might join Libresoft Librarian new or transfer from a different management system.  Schools that do not have a current system create files of their student users ready for upload.  The school then needs to enter their library books into the catalogue – where a school feels they might need help with this, we in Warwickshire SLS could send details of our support package.

Schools changing from a similar system provide Libresoft with access to their book catalogue, users and loans data which Libresoft import into Libresoft Librarian, ensuring that all barcodes are kept and loan history is maintained.
