Dates for your diaries for the 2026/2027 academic year for primary and secondary schools 

• Primary Network Meeting (online): Wednesday 7th October, 3.30pm-4.30pm. Everyone is welcome at these meetings, which are a great opportunity to meet others, share ideas, ask questions and hear all the news from the school library world. 
• Running a School Library Training Course (in person): Tuesday 20th October, 9.30am-1pm This popular course is perfect for anyone relatively new to running or working in their school library. We cover a range of topics and there is lots of opportunity to chat and network with others too. Sign up HERE.

• Primary Network Meeting (online): Thursday 4th February, 3.30pm-4.30pm
• Year 4 Reading Celebration (Spring term): Celebration events taking place week beginning Monday 8th March 2027. This popular reading initiative has now been running for over 10 years and all schools are invited to take part. 

• Primary Network Meeting (online): Wednesday 12th May, 3.30pm-4.30pm
• Warwickshire Junior Book Award (Summer term): Final award ceremony in July, date tbc. This is very popular with schools across the county so make sure it is in your diary too!

• Teen Book Award 2026: This runs throughout the Autumn term and there is still time to sign up if you wish to do so. Click HERE for more info.
• Secondary Network Meeting (online): Wednesday 23rd September: 3.30pm-4.30pm. Everyone is welcome and these meetings are a great opportunity to meet other librarians, share ideas, ask questions and hear all the news from the school library world.
• Running a School Library Training Course (in-person): Tuesday 20th October, 9.30am-1pm. This course is perfect for any staff new to running the library at their school. More info HERE
• Warwickshire Secondary Book Award Shortlisting meeting (in person): Tuesday 10th November, 11am-12.30pm  Join us and help us choose the final shortlist, we love having input from secondary school librarians to ensure we pick the best books possible for your students.

• Teen Book Award online ceremony: Wednesday 9th December, time TBC

• Warwickshire Secondary Book Award 2027: This takes place over the spring term and the in-person award ceremony will be held at the end of March, date TBC. One of our favourite days of the year!
