Warwickshire Secondary Book Award 2026: Shortlist revealed!!!

We are thrilled to announce the shortlist for the Warwickshire Secondary Book Award 2026. We have carefully shortlisted some of the best recently published titles, covering a wide range of genres to engage every reader and encourage discussion, critical thinking and reading for pleasure. The award is aimed at Y7/8 but older years can take part too.

  • The Line They Drew Threw Us by Hiba Noor Khan
  • Shrapnel Boys by Jenny Pearson
  • The Deadsoul Project by Dan Smith

  • Give students a voice in choosing their favourite book.

  • Receive bookmarks and posters to promote the award in school.
  • Students can enter exciting competitions.
  • Attend the final award ceremony, where students will have the chance to meet some or all of the shortlisted authors! Always a lovely and inspiring event for the students.
